I don’t think any sotware like that is free.
Also some of them are scams.
suggest you locate your own drivers from the support websites for your equipment.
If you are looking for free programs to do this:
LOOK out and Get ready for TROUBLE, SCAMS and VIRUSES.
The best way to go about doing this is to:
1) Go to the Website of your Computer Manufacturer and download all the drivers for your pc. ( Download them and put them into a folder on your desktop).
2) Open up your PC Case or just use the freeware application – EVEREST HOME EDITION – and get the model # and Manufacturer of your MotherBoard.
3) Go to the Website of the Manufacturer of your MotherBoard. Download all the Drivers for your MotherBoard. (Place into a folder on your Desktop)
4) 1)GO to Start ( at the bottom of your screen)
GO to Run
Type in devmgmt.msc
This will take you to the device manager. Once you are in the device manager:
Simply Choose to UPDATE the Drivers that you have.
Choose to search in a specific location (Your Desktop where you have the downloaded drivers installed)
My response is it that why do you think you need to analyze and update your drivers. Is your computer not working correctly? Why do you do straight to thinking you need may need a newer driver?
If you are having problems with a particular program or device, then why not address that individual program or device, instead of wanting to scan all your drivers or whatever. If something is wrong with your windows installation in general, then you should try and deternine what that is. It could be anything from a registry error to a virus to a fragmented hard disk to a bad connection, etc so I am wondering why you have gone straight to wanting to “scan drivers” seems odd to me
The reason I mention it like this, is because this is a very popular scam that has come about. there are many websites out there wanting to do a “free driver scan” etc on your computer. And when they scan it they either insert a virus in it or they say your machine is broken and you must by their tool to fix it, whatever. At the very least they may have altered how you think about maintainlng your computer properly.
If you have a video card or sound card or motherboard or whatever it is you think you may need to update the drivers on, go straight to the manufacturer of that device, check for any latest version of your specific piece of hardware, and do not deal with a middleman, as they are often shady scam artists
Legal Windows copy updates
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Windows Update.
When @ Microsoft Updates, click the ‘Custom’ button, not the ‘Express’.
This will give you hardware & software updates specific to your unit (hence the necessity to allow the ‘Active X’).
[Express gives Windows operating system updates]
Tip: When your system is behaving itself, do a driver backup to a single CD so you can get to them again.
It gets harder and harder to find them, and many places charge to get them.
Driver Magician Lite
enables you to backup selected device drivers to a folder or drive of your choice, so that you can re-install them later without the need for your original CD. The program automatically marks non-standard driver (that do not come included with Windows), allowing you to quickly find the drivers that have been added by devices such as printers, web cams etc.
Use the ‘identify & back up all drivers’ for the first BU; & keep it with your unit.
