My fiance was in a finder binder in feb 08 (he got cut off and rear ended a guy doing 30) the guy gets out of the vehicle and apologizes and apologizes to my fiance.. his car was barely damaged and just my fiances head light and hood was a little messed up.. And now this guy is sewing! hes trying to get 600,000 dollars!?! he claims he has back problems from the accident and is unable to be a driver for Wilmart now.. and is saying he has lost out on $260,000 of wages… (who knew Walmart paid this much eh????) he has degenerative disc disease (hes in his 60s)… and from what i know about that disease it doesnt happen over night… and the fact that hes a truck driver could be a huge factor in having the disease
how the heck can this guy get away with this?? i dont think i can do this much damage to a grown person doing 30!!
and we have no money for a lawyer! im so scared

Anyone can sue anyone for anything. This is a basic principle of law.
There is, however, a LONG road between suing someone for $600,000 and getting awarded even a nickel.
In any event… it’s not your problem, and you don’t need a lawyer. Simply pass the claim on to your insurer. Defending you against silly lawsuits (Or legitimate ones) is what you pay them for.
