I received an update for windows update for my service pack 2 it was service pack 3. After that when windows update would offer a driver update NVIDIA my pc would need restored..so I removed it..will this be ok . How do I hide this update in windows update. I am still running explorer 6

SP3 has a lot of bugs in it. If you don’t load it, you’ll be fine. If you go to Microsoft web site you can see what the update actually fixes and I did and made the determination it isn’t critical enough to subject my users to all of the bugs.
As for your graphics card, if it’s not running correctly, you can go to NVIDIA web site and download the later driver.
