It is very likely that a Vista driver does not exist for this card. Older cards are pretty low priority for new OS drivers. It is possible there is a driver and you just havent located it yet. The best way to check is with an automatic driver update tool. This will scan your system to identify the video card and then search for a compatible Vista driver. To try it you can go to http://www.pcdriverupdate.com and download the free scan. To use it just install, scan and update. Simple.

I hope it helps. Good luck.

If you can't change the resolution then it means that you have not installed the driver properly. Re-install the driver the one you have or downloading a fresh one can better solve this problem.

If you are curious in hardware carefully go inside the computer and unplug the video card and clean it with soft cloth and plug it in a different slot. Now re-install all drivers, may it will solve your problem.
Caution: Don't open or touch the inside the C.P.U until you have not disconnect all the powers, powers disconnect does not mean to shut down your computer but also to remove the electricity completely.

Thats probably because there isn't a driver for Vista as the video card is so old. Check the video card manufacturers website for Vista drivers, if there aren't any then you need to buy a more up to date graphics card.

Hi,

Generally it does not. However you can use freeware system audit tools like Belarc PC Advisor or AID32 System Information tool to find out the driver needed for your PC compoment.

I hope this information helps!

Regards,
