Sound card- computer not recognizing?

by Drivers Utilities on March 18, 2010

Hi, I installed a new sound card from an older computer. I don’t know what model or company the sound card is- it didn’t say it on the actual card. When I go into device manager it just says “unimodem half-duplex audio device”.

I downloaded Uniblue DriverScanner, and something came up under the unimodem half-duplex etc. The hardware ID is listed as MODEMWAVE/HALFDUPLEX. The version is listed as 5.1.2535.0. Manufacturer is Microsoft and the inf file is C:/WINDOWS/inf/modemcsa.inf

Thanks!

I believe this is the updated driver for sound card you have shown here. It is version 5.1.2600.0

If you really want to find out what the card really is then look at the FCC Number on the card

You only need to fill these out on the page after you use the following link below.
Grantee Code:(First three characters of FCCID)
Product Code:(what left after the first 3)
