I just installed windows 7, and i cant get my integrated sound card to work. I have tried updating the drivers with windows update, but it has no effect. What should i do to get the sound working.

I have and EVGA x58 3x SLI Motherboard and just recently updated my computer to windows 7 release candidate. It works fine but i have no sound. My graphics and every other driver is working except sound. Can someone help me fix this or find a working sound driver?

I have a Compaq Evo N600c laptop and the sound drive doesn’t work.
I need to download: ess allegro pci audio (wdm)
I’ve looked around even on the compaq’s site
but you can only download this program
Driver Detective.
It’s a great program, but you need to pay to get it to fully work
