I have tried uninstalling device and driver hoping windows will recognize new hardware and reinstall or ask me to update driver. Have checked driver update: says I have latest. Nothing is working. Keeps saying driver may be corrupted or missing. Help please

I just installed windows 7, and i cant get my integrated sound card to work. I have tried updating the drivers with windows update, but it has no effect. What should i do to get the sound working.
