Where to update sound driver in windows? First right answer 10 points. ?

by Drivers Utilities on March 10, 2010

I just formatted my pc. Every time I do format I forget where it is I’m supposed to go to get the sound driver for my computer. I know it’s in hardware or something?

I have on board sound so I don’t have to download it off a website. I get it somewhere from my computer.

Windows Update or the manufactuers website.

If it is on-board then the drivers should be included on the Windows installation CD/DVD.

Your motherboard should also have come with drivers on a CD.

You can go to Add New Hardware and have it search for plug and play hardware, which is what the Device Manager will do if you go that route.

uhh, nope, you go to your computer manufacturers website and enter your model in under the driver download section. It will provide you with the files at that time.

You have A COMPLETELY WRONG CONCEPT of what you are needing.

This DRIVER DOES need to be DOWNLOADED.
You will need to download it from your pc manufacturer’s website. Just go there and go to the SUPPORT DOWNLOADS DRIVERS Section.
